Description
A lovely tambour roll top bureau. We date this bureau to the late 20th century.The bureau is fitted with a tambour roll top. The roll top slides back to reveal the interior, there are pigeon holes to the rear and a pull out writing surface. Above there is a raised area with a full width drawer.
The base sits on a plain plinth base and has four full width drawers. The drawers are all fitted with swan neck handles mounted on pierced back plates.
The bureau has an overall height of 44" (112cm), a width of 25" (63cm) and a depth of 20.5" (52cm).
This lovely roll top bureau remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a couple of tiny indentations to the surface and a scratch line on the right hand side outer panel. There are marks to the inside of the drawer and some minor wear to some edges from past use.
This remains a very stylish and functional bureau. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
