Description
A lovely antique Anglo Indian elephant table. We date this table to the early 20th century.The table sits on three legs of a decorated Indian elephant head, the trunks carrying a stylised flask are the legs.
The main table top is circular and has attractive carvings including a scene with an alligator in the centre. The apron also has attractive carvings.
The table has a height of 22.5" (56cm) and a diameter of 21" (54cm).
This lovely elephant table remains in a solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a couple of small indents and one the tusks has a little bit of wear at the end.
This remains a very stylish and elegant table which would function well as an occasional table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
