Description
A lovely mahogany sideboard. We date this sideboard to the early 20th century.The sideboard sits on six long downward tapered legs with spade feet.
The sideboard consists of a single central drawer flanked by a cupboard with a side hinged door to each side.
The drawer and cupboard doors are fitted with brass drop handles mounted on decorative oval backplates and locks (no key is supplied but one should be obtainable if required). The sideboard top has a lovely inlaid cross banding edge.
The sideboard has an overall height of 37.5" (96cm), a width of 60.5" (153cm) and a depth of 27" (69cm) in the centre.
This attractive mahogany sideboard remains in a good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a bit of edge inlay missing, mainly to the outer edges and there is some slight mellowing to the finish throughout.
This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany sideboard. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
