Description
A lovely antique mahogany side table. We date this table to the late 19th century.The table sits on four long slender downward tapered turned legs.
The main table is fitted with two side by side drawers. The drawers are fitted with small wooden bun handles. There is a shapely carved gallery to the rear.
The table has an overall height of 32" (82cm) including the gallery, a table top height of 28.5” (72cm), a width of 40.5" (103cm) and a depth of 20.5" (52cm).
This lovely mahogany table remains in very good solid condition. The top surface and table edges have some minor indentations from past use and a slightly heavier indented area to the front left hand edge.
This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany side table which could function equally well as a hall or side table, a small writing desk or as a small dressing table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
