Description
A lovely floor standing cheval mirror. We date this mirror to the early 20th century.The mirror consists of an oblong beveled edged mirror with a shapely top, supported on an attractive frame.
The frame sits on shapely arched legs, supported by a carved cross rail below the mirror. The mirror supports rise from the legs to support the mirror at either side. The side supports have attractive finial tops.
The mirror has an overall height of 66.5" (169cm), a width of 18" (46cm) and a base depth of 13.5" (34cm).
This lovely cheval mirror remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage including some minor wear to some edges. There is an old repair to the veneer on the left hand side support and the mirror has some very minor wear to the top edge. There is a little bit of veneer chipping to the frame of the mirror to the outer left hand side as can be seen in the pictures.
This remains a very stylish and elegant cheval mirror which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
