Description
A lovely Meredew dining table and chair set. We date this table and chair set to the 1960/70s.The table sits on four downward tapered legs. The table is rectangular in shape with curved ends and has a recessed apron. The table extends by pulling the top apart and unfolding a leaf from within the table.
The chairs have a curved slatted backrest with upholstered seat pads in a brown and cream foliage fabric.
The table has a height of 28.5" (73cm), a width of 33 (84cm), a length of 52” (132cm). When opened the length increases to 72" (183cm).
The chairs are 35" (89cm) high with a backrest height of 18" (46cm), a seat height of 17.5" (45cm), an overall width of 19" (49cm) and a seat depth of 15" (38cm).
This lovely teak dining table and chair set remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a bit of wear to the chair top rails and they have slightly mellowed a bit due to positioning in the past.
This remains a very stylish and elegant teak dining table and chair set. They will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
