Description
A lovely mahogany dressing table. We date this dressing table to the very early 20th century.The table sits on four downward tapered square section legs.
The main table is fitted with two side by side wide drawers each over a smaller drawer to the outer edge of the shapely knee hole area. The drawers are fitted with attractive brass drop handles on round backplates. The table top and drawer fronts have attractive inlaid design around the edges.
The dressing table features an attractive inlaid gallery to the rear with a shelf flanked by a raised glove drawer to each side. The dressing table has a shapely beveled edge mirror that tilts and sits in an attractive frame.
The dressing table has an overall height of 64.5" (164cm) including the mirror, a table top height of 30" (76cm), a width of 48" (122cm) and a depth of 22" (56cm).
This lovely dressing table remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The table top surfaces have been refinished at some time in the past and have some minor wear and indentations. There is minor wear to some edges and finish including just below the top surface at the front. There is minor mellowing to drawer fronts.
This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany dressing table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
