Attractive antique Edwardian arts & crafts carved walnut mirror door wardrobe.

A lovely Edwardian carved walnut mirror door wardrobe. We date this wardrobe to the early 20th century.

The wardrobe comes in two sections, the main hanging section and a base drawer section.

The sturdy integral cornice is of stepped design with decorative supports underneath.

The front of the wardrobe is of three panel design with central panel being a large mirror door. The long oblong mirror glass is thick and is showing only very minor signs of foxing. The door is fitted with a triangular brass drop handle mounted on an art nouveau style embossed brass backplate. The handle turns to operate the catch (key supplied).

The two slender side panels have central recessed panels. The panels have very decorative carved art nouveau stylised tulips.

The interior of the hanging section is fitted with a brass side to side hanging rail with loose hooks attached.

The base of the wardrobe houses a deep storage drawer. The drawer is fitted with a pair of brass drop handles each mounted on arts & crafts style embossed pierced brass back plates.

The wardrobe has a height of 76.5" (195cm) with a cornice width of 57" (145cm), a base width of 49.5" (126cm), a cornice depth of 22.5" (57cm) and a base depth of 19" (49cm).

This lovely Edwardian walnut mirror door wardrobe remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a few minor marks and indentations to the finish including a little bit of wear to the cornice edges and a small piece of wood missing from the outer back right hand side at the base. There is a very slight age split to each side of the drawer section and there are a few indentations around the base from past use.

This remains a very stylish and elegant Edwardian arts & crafts style walnut mirror door wardrobe which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.

The chest comprises of a bank of two short over three long drawers. The drawers are fitted with attractive turned handles. The chest is fitted with locks (no key is supplied, but a suitable replacement should be easily obtainable if required).

The chest has a height of 38" (97cm), a width of 44.5" (113cm) and a depth of 21" (53cm).

This lovely Victorian mahogany chest remains in good condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some small veneer chips to some of the outer edges and the top surface has a few indented lines and small marks from past usage.

The chair is very comfortable to sit on, with the backrest being shaped to provide excellent support for the back.

Attractive large vintage flame mahogany four door break front bookcase display cabinet with central cocktail cabinet.

A lovely vintage flame mahogany bookcase display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the second half of the 20th century.

The cabinet comes in two sections, the display and cocktail top and the cabinet base.

The base cabinet sits on a slightly protruding breakfront base with bracket feet. The top sits firmly on the base cabinet.

The cabinet is fitted with an integral breakfront stepped cornice with carved detail round the base of the top step.

The front of the top section is of a four panel design with each panel being a side hinged door. The two centre doors stand proud of the outer doors forming the breakfront. The outer doors are glazed with glass panes housed in wood glazing strips forming an attractive geometric pattern. The central doors have attractive inlaid veneers to the centres.

The two outer doors and the right hand central door are provided with working locks (key supplied). The left hand central door is secured with back mounted top and bottom lever bolts.

The central cocktail cabinet has been lined with mirrors and has glass shelves, there are four decorative brass gallery shelves to the rear of the doors. There is a light fitted within the unit but the wires have been removed at some point in the past, we recommend it should be rewired by a competent electrician if it is looking to be reused in the future. There are two pull out slides just below the cocktail area.

The interiors of the two outer sections are fitted with three fixed position glass shelves which sit on metal pegs housed the front and rear of the side panels. The rear panels are lined with a very light peppermint green patterned material.

The base cabinet protrudes at the front and sides beyond the top section. The front of the cabinet is of a four panel design with each panel being a side hinged door. The two central doors protrude beyond the side doors forming the breakfront. The door fronts have been veneered with well matched finely figured flame mahogany within a crossbanded frame.

The two outer doors and the right hand central door are provided with working locks (operated by the supplied key). The left hand central door is secured with back mounted lever bolts.

The two outer cupboards and the large central cupboard are fitted with mid mounted fixed position removable wooden shelves. There is a small drawer to the top right hand side of the central area.

The cabinet has an overall height of 74" (188cm) a width of 72" (183cm) and a depth of 14.5" (37cm).

This lovely vintage flame mahogany cabinet has been constructed to a very high standard and remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some very minor indentations and light marks to the finish from past use and there is a tiny piece of moulding missing from the outer right hand side of the cornice.

This remains a very stylish and elegant flame mahogany cabinet which could house a large sized collection of books, objets d'art, etc. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.

A lovely antique Victorian mahogany secretaire chest of drawers. We date this chest of drawers to the second half of the 19th century.

The chest sits on four bun feet.

The main chest consists of a secretaire drawer over three graduated drawers.

The drawers are fitted with attractive turned handles. All the drawers are fitted with locks (a key is supplied for the top secretaire drawer).

The secretaire drawer is fitted with a catch at either side. The front lowers to reveal the fitted interior, which features a bank of drawers and pigeon holes. The drop flap has an attractive plum leather writing surface.

There is a letter with the chest showing some of its history, it is dated to 1985 and shows how the chest was exported to Australia before being brought back by a previous owner.

The chest of drawers has an overall height of 53" (135cm), a width of 49.5" (126cm) and a depth of 23" (59cm).

This lovely large antique Victorian mahogany secretaire remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including some indentations and light scratches to the finish on the top and side surfaces. There are are a few repairs to the veneers, primarily around the top rail and there is a little bubbling to the veneer around the secretaire hinges.

The large sturdy separate cornice is of stepped design.

The front of the wardrobe is of three panel design with the central panel being a mirror door. The large oblong shaped mirror glass is thick and bevelled and is showing only very minor signs of foxing.

The two outer panels are side hinged doors. The door fronts have been veneered within a frame of inlaid contrasting mahogany. The top door panels have ovular carved decoration.

The outer doors are fitted with drop loop cast brass handles mounted on a shapely elongated embossed brass back plates. The handles turn to operate the catches. The doors are fitted with locks (key supplied).

The interior of the hanging sections are fitted with side to side rails with single coat hooks around the sides.

The base unit is fitted with two deep storage drawers. The drawers are fitted with pairs of decorative brass drop loop handles each mounted on a large circular embossed brass back plate.

The wardrobe has a height of 79.5" (202cm), a cornice width of 65" (165cm), a base width of 62" (157cm), a cornice depth of 21.5" (55cm) and a base depth of 20" (51cm).

The sideboard consists of a double side hinged door cupboard. There is a shelved gallery to the rear which sits on pierced supports.

The top rail of the gallery has an attractive pierced rail.

The right hand door is fitted with a working lock (key supplied). There are two carved corbells flanking the top of these doors.

The doors have very intricate fretwork carved panels with a dark green painted panel to the rear of them.

The interior of the cupboard has various shelves.

The chiffonier has a height of 49" (125cm) (including gallery), a table height of 36" (91cm), a width of 51" (130cm) and a depth of 18.5" (46cm).

This lovely Victorian chiffonier remains in good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. An attractive pair of antique carved oak armchairs. We date these armchairs to the second half of the 19th century.

The armchairs sit on turned legs at the front and backward curved oblong section legs at the rear, all above their original ceramic castors.

One chair is slightly larger than the other and has the addition of larger armrests.

The chairs have been upholstered in a dark red patterned velour material. The material is showing only very minor usage marks.

The larger armchair has a height of 43" (110cm) with an overall width of 28.5" (72cm) and an overall depth of 34" (86cm). It has a backrest height of 28" (71cm), a seat height of 15" (38cm), a seat width of 21" (53cm) and a seat depth of 24" (61cm).

Attractive large antique Victorian mahogany pedestal sideboard.

A lovely Victorian mahogany sideboard. We date this sideboard to the mid 19th century.

The sideboard is supplied in one main section, please be aware regarding access, corners etc. The rear gallery does remove for transport if necessary.

The sideboard is of a twin pedestal design, with each pedestal being a side hinged door cupboard. The pedestals each sit on four small turned legs.

The doors feature central panels veneered with well matched, finely figured mahogany. They are fitted with working locks (key supplied).

The interior of the left hand cupboard is fitted with two shelves. The right pedestal is fitted with a top shelf over a storage drawer.

There is a wide central slightly protruding drawer between the two pedestals.

The rear gallery has two sliding door cupboards allowing access to the top compartment.

The sideboard has an overall height of 47" (120cm), a top surface height of 37" (94cm), a width of 75" (191cm) and a depth of 27.5" (70cm) in the centre.

This attractive Victorian mahogany sideboard remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor indentations, marks and light wear to the top gallery surface, more noticeably there are a couple of small indented areas to the rear. There is a small filled age split to the veneer on the front right hand corner and the rear gallery doors have contracted over time giving a slight convex effect to the fronts.

This remains a very stylish and elegant Victorian mahogany sideboard. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.

The main table consists of a small centre table with two large drop leaves either side. The table has an rectangular shape when opened. The drop leaves are supported on gate leg frames which are constructed from two legs braced with two oblong section cross rails.

The main table has a height of 29" (74cm), a length of 9" (23cm) and a width of 33" (84cm). With the drop leaves raised the length increases to 57" (145cm).

Attractive vintage Watajoy metal bound shipping trunk.

A lovely vintage metal bound shipping trunk. We date this trunk to the first half of the 20th century.

The trunk comprises a large rear hinged lidded box.

The trunk is fitted with various compartments. These include a drop down compartment over two small drawers. The left hand section is fitted for hanging larger clothes, this includes six wooden hangers and below this there are pockets for shoes.

There is a leather handle to the top side and the trunk has metal bindings for protection. There is a securing latch that comes with a key.

There are various nice old shipping labels around the trunk.

The trunk has a height of 40" (102cm), a width of 22.5" (57cm) and a depth of 14.5" (37cm).

This lovely trunk remains in a solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The trunk has been well travelled and has a number of usage marks as to be expected. A small hinge on the drop down compartment is damaged and the original fabric inside the trunk has worn in parts.

A lovely vintage french style painted dressing table. We date this dressing table to the second half of the 20th century.

The dressing table sits on four slender french style cabriole legs with applied floral swags to the knees and feet.

The table is fitted with a rear mounted pierced and relief carved frame housing a central large oval mirror and two smaller oval mirrors. The mounting frame and mirror frames have attractive relief carved detail highlighted with gilded detail.

The main table has bow ends and a concave front forming the kidney shape. The table is fitted with two drawers each side flanking a central long drawer. The drawer edges are outlined with gilded detail. The drawers are fitted with centrally mounted brass rococco style stand out handles. The central drawer has a curvilinear base and is opened from underneath. The drawer has a central floral wreath applied moulding with gilded highlights. The bowed end panels have matching applied mouldings.

The dressing table has a height of 54.5" (138cm) (including mirrors) with a table height of 29" (74cm), an overall width of 52.5" (134cm) and a depth of 20.5" (52cm).
