A lovely antique dressing table. We date this dressing table to the very early 20th century.

The dressing table sits on four square section legs on ceramic castors.

The main dressing table has four drawers arranged two over two and are fitted with copper drop handles mounted on backplates. The drawers are fitted with locks (no key is supplied but one should be obtained if required).

The top swivel mirror is supported by two side supports. The mirror has a bevel edge and has a lovely carved top. There is a central full width shelf below the mirror and a small raised drawer under the shelf to each side fitted with smaller matching handles and backplates.

The dressing chest has an overall height of 58.5" (149cm) (including mirror), a table height of 30.5" (77cm), a width of 36" (92cm) and a depth of 19.5" (49cm).

This lovely Arts and Crafts dressing table remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor marks to the top surface and minor indentations to some edges. The mirror has some minor foxing and the lower right hand drop handle has been replaced with a similar one at some point in the past.

Attractive Large Antique Carved Oak Church Podium ...

A lovely antique lectern. We date this lectern to the 1900s.

It has recently come into our possession from a local church.

The lectern comes in one piece and is quite heavy. Please be aware with regards to access for delivery.

The lectern sits on a plinth base with a wide step at the rear that is covered in a blue carpet.

The lectern’s front panel has an attractive celtic knotwork carving and again at the front of the reading slope. The main top has a lip at the base to hold the book with an open area below.

The lectern has an overall height of 55" (139cm), an overall width of 32.5" (83cm) including the rear step, an overall depth of 38" (97cm) including the rear step, a step height of 4.5” (12cm) and a reading stand width of 21” (54cm).

This lovely oak lectern remains in a good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The top reading surface has a few very minor indentation lines and marks from past use and there is some minor wear to the carpet from past use also.

Attractive Large Antique Victorian Scotch Mahogany Ogee ...

A lovely Scotch ogee chest. We date this chest of drawers to the second half of the 19th century.

Please note that the chest comes in one substantially large single section.

The chest sits on a seperate plain plinth base over large bun feet.

The chest consists of one shapely full width frieze top drawer over a full width shapely ogee drawer with two dividers. These are over a bank of three graduated drawers which are flanked by a carved corbell at each side.

The drawers are fitted with turned handles and locks (no key is supplied but one should be obtainable if required).

The chest of drawers has an overall height of 53.5" (136cm), a width of 48" (122cm) and a depth of 22" (56cm).

This lovely chest of drawers remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some wear around the base and feet from past use. There are a couple of tiny veneer chips and the top two drawers have some internal marks.

Attractive Large Wide Antique Victorian Mahogany Four ...

A lovely large mahogany bookcase. We date this bookcase to the late 19th century.

The bookcase comes in one section and is very heavy, please be aware of measurements for delivering, around corners etc.

The bookcase sits on a slightly protruding plain plinth base and has a small plain gallery to the rear.

The bookcase has two discreet side by side drawers at the top over two cabinets.

The front of the bookcase is of a four panel design with each panel having a side hinged glazed door. Each cabinet has a lock fitted to the right hand side door with a top and bottom catch to the left hand side door. There are attractive corbells at each side of a cabinet and at the centre.

The interior of each section is fitted with two adjustable position shelves.

The bookcase cabinet has an overall height of 49.5" (126cm) including the gallery, a table top height of 48” (122cm), a width of 96" (244cm) and a depth of 16.5" (42cm).

The internal shelves have a depth of 10" (25cm).

This lovely mahogany bookcase cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage including some minor scratches and indentation lines to the top surface and some edges from past use. There is some very slight mellowing from one side to the other and there is a small chip at the left hand side rear top corner under the gallery.

Attractive Antique Victorian French Walnut Empire Style ...

A lovely antique walnut bed. We date this bed to the second half of the 19th century.

The bed comes in four sections: the head and foot ends, and two side rails.

The panel head and footboard are of the same height with a lovely shapely top.

The bed was made for one side to sit against the wall and the outer side had all the decoration. The outer side of the head and footboards have wider ends over decorative feet with their original castors. The side rail has a lovely carved corner section raised to join the head and footboards.

The head and footboards have a height of 47.5" (121cm), they are both 50.5" (129cm) wide, the overall length is 86” (219cm), and the height to the top of the side rail is 20.5” (52cm).

The internal length is 74.5 (189cm) and width 45” (114cm)

This lovely bed remains in very good solid condition with only surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor wear and indents to some edges and the headboard has an age gap and a slight age split in the panel. The head and foot boards have some darker marks primarily to the headboard. There are a number of old worm holes that have been treated twice to make sure.

This remains a very stylish and elegant bed which will continue to provide sweet repose for many years to come.

There is a label for ‘Grimes Furnishers, London’ inside the right hand drawer.

The court cupboard comes in one large section, please check measurements for delivery around corners etc.

The lower section has two side by side carved front drawers, the left hand drawer is fitted with dividers. Below there is a large cupboard with two side hinged panelled doors and a central fixed panel. The interior is fitted with a removable wooden shelf.

The top section has a central canted cupboard with two side hinged carved panelled doors with plain panels on the canted edge that is flanked by sturdy turned supports to the front corners. There is an attractive plinth of carving along the top front.

The cupboards and drawers are fitted with wooden button handles and the doors have decorative hinges and wooden catches to the sides.

The court cupboard has an overall height of 53" (135cm), a width of 49" (125cm) and a depth of 16" (41cm).

The wardrobe sits on a plain plinth base and has a stepped cornice with dentil molding.

The right hand side of the wardrobe has two side hinged doors, the interior has a side to side full width hanging rail, there are nine brass hooks to the rear and sides and a double hook to the top.

The right hand door is fitted with a lock (no key is supplied but one could be obtained if required). The right hand door is also fitted with a decorative brass drop handle mounted on a decorative backplate, this turns to operate the catch. The left hand door has a top and bottom catch and a beveled mirror front.

There is a single section to the left with a side hinged door, internally it has six drawers, the top three are linen press drawers and the bottom three have campaign handles.

The wardrobe has a height of 75" (191cm), a width of 61.5" (157cm) at cornice and a depth of 23" (59cm) at cornice.

The wardrobe has an internal hanging depth of 20” (50cm).

This lovely wardrobe remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is wear and marks throughout and the mirrored door has a sliver of wood missing at the top catch. The marks are primarily around the base.

A lovely Art Nouveau display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the 1900s.

The cabinet comes in one section please be aware of measurements for delivery and around corners, etc.

The cabinet has two side by side display areas at the top each with an attractive side hinged lead glazed door fitted with brass drop ring handles and a lock. The sides of the cabinet also have lead glazed panels. Internally the cabinets are lined with grey velvet to the back and base, each have two removable wooden shelves that have inset grey velvet lining.

The lower section sits on four downward tapered square section legs on spade feet. There is a central drawer fitted with two brass drop ring handles mounted on decorative backplates. Below there is a single cupboard with a side hinged panelled door. The panel has a lovely inlaid design with mother of pearl and fitted with a brass drop ring handle and lock (the key is supplied to fit all locks).

The cupboard is flanked by an open shelf area to each side.

The cabinet has an overall height of 73" (186cm), a cornice width of 35" (89cm) and a depth of 13" (33cm).

This lovely art nouveau cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The top has been altered at some time in the past, it would originally have had a gallery at the top. There is some minor wear and indents to some edges and a left hand side lower shelf has an indentation mark at the front. The fabric has a few ring indentations and marks where items have sat in the past.

This lovely rustic mahogany washstand remains in good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The vinyl inserts have quite a bit of wear and marks.
The washstand has some indents, scratches and marks throughout and a couple of pieces of veneer missing from the lower tier. There are a number of old worm holes that have been treated twice to make sure. There was a lock on the drawer that had been removed at some time in the past.

A lovely antique Victorian chest of drawers. We date this chest to the late 19th century.

The chest sits on a plain plinth base. The chest comprises a bank of two short over three long graduated drawers. The drawers are fitted with wooden bun handles. The drawers are fitted with locks (No key is supplied but one could be obtained if required).

The chest has a height of 40" (102cm), a width of 41.5" (105cm) and a depth of 18.5" (47cm).

This lovely Victorian chest remains in a good solid condition. There is an amount of wear including indentations and scratches throughout giving it a slightly more rustic appearance.

This remains a very stylish and elegant Victorian chest which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.

Attractive Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Occasional Table ...

A lovely Edwardian mahogany side table. We date this table to the very early 20th century.

The table sits on four splayed downward tapered square section legs.

The main table top has lovely inlaid crossbanding around the edge and an inlaid circle in the centre of the table top.

The table base has a well recessed apron and a lower shelf with cross banding around the edge.

The table has a height of 27.5" (69cm), and a length and depth of 21.5" (52cm).

This lovely mahogany side table remains in a solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a few indentation lines to the table surfaces and some minor wear to the inlay and crossbanding.

This remains a very stylish and elegant side table which would function well as an occasional table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
