Description
A lovely set of six oak dining chairs. We date these dining chairs to the mid 20th century.The chairs sit on shapely well turned legs to the front with a front stretcher and square section legs to the rear.
The chairs are upholstered in an oxblood red leather and finished with a stud detail to the seat pad and the backrest.
The carvers have upholstered armrests.
The chairs are 34" (87cm) high with a backrest height of 15" (38cm), a seat height of 19" (49cm), a seat width of 19" (49cm) and a seat depth of 16" (41cm).
The carvers are 36.5” (93cm) high with a back rest of 17” (43cm), a seat width of 18” (46cm), an overall width of 36.5” (93cm) and a seat depth of 17” (43cm).
This lovely set of oak and leather dining chairs remains in good condition. The oak frames have some minor wear to some of the edges and the leather has some wear with a few chairs having some tears to the seat pads as can be seen in pictures.These chairs would provide an ideal reupholstery project for someone with the requisite skills.
This remains a very stylish and elegant set of oak and leather dining chairs which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
