Description
An attractive pair of oriental armchairs. We date these armchairs to the late 20th century.The chairs sit on four cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. The chairs have a loose seat cushion in a cream colour. The armrests are ornately carved with a foliate design. The chair back and the skirt of the chair are also carved with ornate foliate and bird detail.
The chairs have an overall height of 89cm with an overall width of 66cm and an overall depth of 50cm. They have a backrest height of 48cm, a seat height of 45cm, a seat width of 53cm and a seat depth of 44cm.
These attractive heavy armchairs remain in a good solid condition with only minor surface marking commensurate with age and usage. There are some very minor marks to the removable cushion covers.
This remains a very stylish and elegant pair of armchairs that will continue to provide rest and repose for many years to come.
