Description
A lovely vintage serpentine walnut display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the first half of the 20th century.The cabinet has a central glazed panel decorated with attractive silver detail. There are two side hinged doors each glazed with glass panes housed in wood glazing strips and are provided with a working lock (key supplied).
The interior is fitted with two fixed height removable glass shelves. The main table top has a small gallery running it's length.
The cabinet has an overall height of 120cm, a top surface height of 115cm, a width of 106cm and a depth of 36cm.
This lovely vintage cabinet remains in a good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a repair to the front veneer and a couple of very small veneer chips. There are some minor indentations to the bottom and a little bit of wear to the finish.
This remains a very stylish and elegant display cabinet which could house a reasonable sized collection of objects d'art etc. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
