Description
A lovely antique carved inlaid rosewood mirror back sideboard. We date this sideboard to the very late 19th century.The sideboard comes in two sections: the base and the large mirror gallery back. The parts are screwed together for stability.
The sideboard has wonderful carving throughout and beautiful inlaid foliate decoration. There are several bevelled glass panels.
The sideboard sits on four turned legs to the front and two square section legs at the back.
The doors are fitted with locks, keys supplied.
The sideboard has a height of 234cm (including mirror back) with a base cabinet height of 104cm, a width of 137cm and a depth of 45cm.
This lovely mirror back sideboard remains in good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a bit of wear to some of the edges. Some wear to the finish and some small indents on the surface of the bottom section. There are a couple of small repairs to the cabinet.
This remains a very stylish and elegant large inlaid rosewood mirror back sideboard which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
