Description
A lovely antique mahogany washstand. We date this washstand to the early 20th century.The washstand sits on four square section tapered legs.
The front of the washstand has two decoratively inlaid panel doors fitted with brass drop handles.
There is an inlaid gallery back to the top surface and a fixed lower shelf underneath.
The cabinet has an overall height, including the gallery back, of 80cm, a width of 105cm and a depth of 53cm. The table top surface has a height of 74cm.
This attractive mahogany washstand remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a few light scratches and indents to the top surface. The outer left hand side is a little more mellow. There are some filled holes at the sides where there would originally have been towel rails.
This remains a very stylish & elegant mahogany washstand. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
