Attractive pair of antique style ladies spoon back parlour chairs.An attractive pair of chairs. We date these chairs to the late 20th century.
The chairs sits on cabriole legs at the front and slightly backward slanted s-curved legs at the rear.
The legs sit directly under the serpentine front seat frame which is well padded and sprung.
The sturdy backrest rail is shaped to form the top spoon back shape. The backrest has been well padded and has a button back design.
The chairs are upholstered in a light patterned fabric with braid detail.
The chair has a height of 34" (87cm) with a backrest height of 24" (61cm), a seat height of 13" (33cm), an overall width of 23" (59cm), a seat width of 23" (59cm), an overall depth of 27" (69cm) and a seat depth of 17" (43cm).
There is about an inch height difference between the chairs.
This attractive pair of chairs remain in very good solid condition with only very minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage. The fabric remains in a good usable condition but there is a mark to one of the seat pads, please note that we have not attempted to have the chairs professionally cleaned. There is a very slight colour difference between the wooden frames on the chairs.
These remain a very stylish and elegant pair of chairs which are very comfortable and relaxing to sit on. It will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
