Description
A lovely set of oriental chairs. We date these chairs to the late 20th century.The chairs consist of four chairs and two carvers. The chairs sit on square section inward bow legs and slightly splayed downward tapered square section legs at the rear.
The chair seat pads are upholstered in a cream patterned fabric and have a bow front. The backrests have a splat back with oriental carvings.
The chairs have a height of 41” (104cm), a width of 22" (56cm), a depth of 22" (56cm), a backrest height of 25" (64cm), a seat height of 18.5" (47cm), a seat width of 20.5" (52cm) and a seat depth of 15.5" (47cm).
The carvers, as normal, are a little wider at 24” (61cm).
These lovely dining chairs remain in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a number of marks to the seat pads from past use (one especially), as such they may benefit from being reupholstered at some point in the future. There is an old repair to the carver arms on one chair.
These remain a very stylish and elegant set of dining chairs. That will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
