Description
A lovely oak hallstand. We date this hallstand to the early 20th century.The hallstand sits on two turned legs to the front and square section legs to the rear. The back features carved spindles to the rear of the top section and six coat/hat hooks.
The stand is fitted with a small central shelf above a lovely rich green tiled back panel. Below has an open stick/umbrella area with green drip trays to the base.
The hall coat stand has a height of 72" (183cm), a width of 22" (56cm) and a depth of 11" (28cm).
This lovely oak hallstand remains in a good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a few minor indentations and wear to the surfaces and some edges from past use and the drip trays are showing a tiny bit of wear. There is a split in the wood in front of the drip trays at the right hand side where there are also some darker marks. The lower central double hook has been added at some time in the past.
This remains a very stylish oak hallstand which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
