Attractive Vintage Mahogany Bureau Desk With Drawers ...

A lovely mahogany bureau. We date this bureau to the first half of the 20th century.
The bureau is attractively quarter veneered to the front and sits on Queen Anne legs.
The drop flap lowers to reveal the fitted interior, which consists of various pigeon holes and small drawers. There is a red leatherette writing surface.
The main lower section has three graduated drawers. The drawers are fitted with drop handles mounted on decorative backplates.
The bureau has a height of 102cm, a width of 80cm and a depth of 46cm. The desk height is 76cm.
This lovely bureau remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a bit of wear to some edges primarily to the bottom drawer and some usage marks to the inside of the bureau. There is a key and it will work but fiddly.
This remains a simple yet stylish and elegant bureau. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
