Large Leonidas of Sparta Figure on Marble ...

This is a lovely very substantial figure of Leonidas of Sparta with spear and shield in brassed metal on a marble base originating from Greece.

The overall height of the figure with the base is 40cm and overall width with spear 37cm. The marble base is 21cm x 11cm.

The figure is in good condition with a few marks from past use. There is a small chip to the rear of the marble base.

A lovely brass candlestick with a sprung top,only the top of the candle with flame is ever on show.

The candlestick has a really wide weighted base which makes it really hard to knock over.

The candle stick measures 17cm tall and has a base diameter of 12.5cm .

This lovely brass candlestick remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage.
