Attractive antique Victorian ornately carved mahogany mirror back sideboard display cabinet.

A lovely Victorian carved mahogany mirror back sideboard. We date this sideboard to the second half of the 19th century.

The sideboard comes in two sections: the base and the mirror gallery back. The top part sits on dowels.

The sideboard sits on cabriole legs with a shapely apron to the front.

The base section consists of two glazed doors. The cupboards are fitted with mid mounted shelves. The doors are fitted with locks (key supplied).

The gallery back has two small shelves at the sides and features decorative carving throughout. The shapely mirror glass is thick and is only showing some minor signs of foxing.

The sideboard has a height of 85.5" (217cm) (including mirror back) with a base cabinet height of 42" (107cm), a width of 49.5" (126cm) and a depth of 17" (43cm).

This lovely Victorian mirror back sideboard remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor indentations from past use and one of the locks has been replaced at some point in the past.

This remains a very stylish and elegant large Victorian carved mahogany mirror back sideboard which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.

Attractive antique Edwardian mahogany display cabinet.

A lovely Edwardian mahogany inlaid display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the very early 20th century.

The display cabinet is supplied in a single section so please be aware regarding access or around doorways.

The display cabinet sits on six long slender downward tapered square section legs on spade feet arranged four at the front and two at the rear.

The display cabinet has a central glazed door. The door has a very ornate pattern. There is an inlaid panel to the centre of the door which has an oval shaped decorative fan design.

The central area is flanked by two lower cabinets, each of these cabinets sit below an oval mirror.

The top of the cabinet is fitted with a large gallery back, the gallery has been wonderfully inlaid with a decorative fan and floral design.

There is a lower shelf below the main central cabinet, this has an attractive pierced fretwork front gallery and a rear mirror.

The cabinet areas have been lined with green velvet. This is still in a usable condition but its possible to see the ring marks where items have sat in the past.

The doors are fitted with working locks (key supplied).

The display cabinet has an overall height of 81" (206cm), a width of 54" (137cm) and a central depth of 15" (38cm).

This lovely Edwardian mahogany display cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor marks to the finish from past use. There is a little bit of foxing to the mirrors and there is a slight bit of mellowing to the finish. There is a tiny piece of fretwork missing off the lower rail and there is an old repair at one of the hinges.

This remains a very stylish and elegant Edwardian mahogany display cabinet. It could house a good sized collection of object's d'art etc. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
