A lovely high back chair. We date this chair to the late 20th century.
The chair sits on square section legs and the tall backrest frame has attractive abaca and rattan woven back and side panels, inspired by the tall and romantic screens found in traditional oriental houses.
The chair has a large seat cushion that is upholstered in a cream fabric.
The chair has an overall height of 48" (122cm), an overall width of 29.5" (75cm), an overall depth of 28" (71cm), a backrest height of 34" (87cm), a seat height of 13" (33cm), a seat width of 26" (66cm) and a seat depth of 28" (71cm).
The chair is in very good condition with only very minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage, including some slight mellowing to the frame and some minor marks on the fabric from past use. There would have been a large loose back cushion but one could easily be obtained to put your own stamp on the chair.
This remains a very stylish and elegant chair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.

The chairs consist of four chairs and two carvers. The chairs sit on square section inward bow legs and slightly splayed downward tapered square section legs at the rear.
The chair seat pads are upholstered in a cream patterned fabric and have a bow front. The backrests have a splat back with oriental carvings.
The chairs have a height of 41” (104cm), a width of 22" (56cm), a depth of 22" (56cm), a backrest height of 25" (64cm), a seat height of 18.5" (47cm), a seat width of 20.5" (52cm) and a seat depth of 15.5" (47cm).
The carvers, as normal, are a little wider at 24” (61cm).
These lovely dining chairs remain in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a number of marks to the seat pads from past use (one especially), as such they may benefit from being reupholstered at some point in the future. There is an old repair to the carver arms on one chair.

The chairs are upholstered in a light patterned fabric with braid detail.
The chair has a height of 34" (87cm) with a backrest height of 24" (61cm), a seat height of 13" (33cm), an overall width of 23" (59cm), a seat width of 23" (59cm), an overall depth of 27" (69cm) and a seat depth of 17" (43cm).
There is about an inch height difference between the chairs.
This attractive pair of chairs remain in very good solid condition with only very minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage. The fabric remains in a good usable condition but there is a mark to one of the seat pads, please note that we have not attempted to have the chairs professionally cleaned.
